Christopher Drummond Predicts Spring/Summer Makeup Trends and Incorporates them Into His Line -
While Fashion Week is typically viewed as a time for fashion industry aficionados to predict what will be “in” next season, the same is true for beauty mavens in-the-know. Professional makeup artist Christopher Drummond scoured the runways during Spring/Summer New York Fashion Week this past September to come up with makeup trends that would complement the collections. He then took those trends and incorporated them into his line in a realistic, workable way so the everyday woman could look fashion forward, but not over-the-top.
The top trends that Christopher predicated for this season were pastels, corals and a focus on the eyes. “Spring is a time when women are looking to break out of the dreary colors they have been

This led to the creation and addition of three new products to the Christopher Drummond line: Petal (a soft, shimmery baby pink eye shadow), Sky (a pastel blue), Coral Reef Lip Stain and Navy eye liner.

The Navy Eyeliner is a cream to powder liner with long staying power, which offers a fresh change for spring from traditional black. Christopher’s tip: adding a light amount of colored liner on
the bottom lid looks fresh and modern and is a way to add color to the eyes without going overboard. Or, another eye trend is no makeup at all on the bottom: a nice thick liner with rich mascara
and a colored shadow on tip, paired with a bare bottom lash line, opens up the eyes and looks youthful and fresh.
